Agra Sandstone and large lawn in Lostock

Although a huge project in terms of materials, this was fairly straightforward from a construction point of view. The lawn was approximately 500 square metres and used over 100 tons of new soil to change the profile of the garden considerably. The paving is a unique sandstone from the Dholpur quarry in India - and has been used historically by Mughal architects in the construction of such buildings as the Taj Mahal and Lal Qila (the red fort of Agra). It gives a very clean and contemporary finished look, complementing this modern extension and refurbishment of a 1970's property.
