Large decking and roofed pergola

This job is the largest deck we have completed being nearly 100 square metres in size and in quite an unusual shape. The photographs show each stage of construction over the Four weeks we worked on this project. Firstly a solid framework of Tanalised joists and stilts is constructed ensuring the entire base is completely rigid and not susceptible to future ground movement. The decking is then attached using Zinc coated weather resist screws to complete a high quality finish to the deck. The actual boards used on this job were not "in-stock" standard Deck boards. They have 2 resin & stone grit inserts on each board, giving necessary extra grip and a more stylish finish. Please look here and here for further information on Grip-Deckboards.

In addition to the decking we also constructed this large triangular timber Pergola over the rear corner of the deck. Constructing a Roof using 2 layers of "Marine Plywood" and then felting.
