York stone paving

The main of this job was the walling and paving but there were numerous other factors involved. Firstly this was a giant of a "ripping-out and preparation" task. Nearly 50 tons of Timber, soil, clay and stone was removed from site before any reconstruction work was even begun. As the photographs show, the garden is then re-built in stages, beginning with the Stone Walling, moving onto Paving and then Turfing and other cosmetic finishes. The patios are laid using traditional English York-Stone, and as always, laid on a strong concrete mix and fully hand pointed to finish. There are areas at present in this garden which look unfinished — this was the first stage of works for this customer and the soiling and planting for these flower bed areas is scheduled for later in the year.
